This was so lovely to read! I am always surprised (in a good way) when I see people write so openly and vulnerably, almost like they can easily cut open a vein and bleed onto the page, saying everything the reader feels and wants to say but could quite never say out loud. So many things in this post resonated with me. Hope the Gods hear your prayers!

This is a beautiful piece! I really enjoyed the way you talked about faith so respectfully, despite not necessarily being subscribed to one, and how it ties in with wanting to be loved

Heartwarming read ❤️ this reminded me of bell hooks’s quote “Not only do I believe wholeheartedly that true love exists, I embrace the idea that its occurrence is a mystery—that it happens without any effort of human will. And if that’s the case, then it will happen whether we look for it or not. But we do not lose love by looking for it.”

I’ve written about similar ideas the past two Valentine’s Days. It takes adamant hope to live in the world of possibility for loving — especially today when dating culture is so shit. Maybe it’s a comfort knowing I’m right here with you, hoping <333 thanks for sharing
